It doesn’t matter if you’re a distributor or manufacturer or other inventory-centric business – you need an integrated shipping application to manage customer shipments with integration to UPS, FedEx, USPS, and other transportation providers. And the best one on the market for Intuit QuickBooks (in our opinion) is ShipGear by V-Technologies.

There simply is no company out there with more experience or a better product for the entry-level market. They may be a bit newer to the QuickBooks Apps.com directory but they have been around for decades providing shipping applications to QuickBooks and ERP users (with integration to the very popular Fishbowl Inventory product) as well as Sage 100cloud and other Sage ERP, Microsoft Dynamics, and other midmarket ERP applications.

Trust us on this – you cannot go wrong with ShipGear or any product available from V-Technologies. We have many customers using their StarShip product (more advanced with integrations to LTL providers) and they are all pretty darn happy with the product and the value they get out of it.

Some other options for QuickBooks shipping include ShipRush (labels and rate comparison), T-Hub Online, and ShippingEasy by OneSaas. There are a few others in this category but none that really caught our eye and most aren’t true shipping apps but rather ecommerce and related apps that are listed in the shipping category.

You could of course ship products without integration with QuickBooks but this can be extremely tedious, prone to data entry errors, and does not provide the shipment traceability you need back into the accounting system. With the low cost of products like ShipGear and StarShip you will certainly want to invest in an integrated system – especially if you’re shipment volume is increasing and is becoming unmanageable.
