MMOG/LE is an assessment tool defined and maintained by the Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG). It is designed to measure and improve materials planning and logistics efficiency within a manufacturing facility. MMOG/LE helps eliminate supply-related delivery issues for all parties within the supply chain. It helps validate that suppliers have appropriate material planning and delivery processes to support business requirements. Most major automotive manufacturers including Ford, General Motors, FCA Group (Fiat Chrysler Automobiles), Volvo, and others require suppliers to submit an annual score and assessment. ERP business software does not necessarily have any innate features designed exclusively for MMOG/LE. However, best practices built-into many automotive ERP systems support MMOG/LE with defined processes, documentation, and reports.
