Docassist, a cloud document management company, reached the limits of its existing accounting software. As its business grew, the company realized it had outgrown the capabilities of QuickBooks® Online Pro and needed to step up to a professional-strength financial management and accounting system.

The move to Sage Intacct provides Docassist with more powerful financial reporting and dashboards, an open architecture to support the integration of other business applications, and a financial system designed to handle the company’s expected growth.

Docassist offers companies of all sizes affordable, powerful document management and process automation tools in a completely cloud-based environment. In business since 2002, the company has grown rapidly in recent years. To accommodate its current and future needs, Docassist wanted a financial system that offered more robust reporting tools, as well as sophisticated project accounting and revenue management functionality. Docassist also wanted a system that integrated with both its salesforce.com CRM system to optimize the quote-to-cash process as well as their cloud document management offering.

Committed to the cloud, Docassist zeroed in on Sage Intacct fairly quickly. Docassist opted to roll out Sage Intacct in a phased approach. Phase one focused on implementing the core Sage Intacct financial system. The move to Sage Intacct provides Docassist with improved real-time financial and operational visibility throughout its business. Sage Intacct also enables Docassist to streamline its financial management processes to achieve significant back-office and administrative savings.

Phase two will focus on implementing Sage Intacct Project Accounting and Sage Intacct Revenue Management, to maximize the performance and profitability of Docassist’s professional services organization. In the final phase, Docassist will implement Sage Intacct’s integration with Salesforce to improve sales staff efficiency and reduce administrative costs associated with processing high-volume transactions.
