There are a lot of great options available to manage sales and marketing using QuickBooks and integrated CRM or customer relationship management applications.
Perhaps the most popular option is Method:CRM – a product that is truly designed to work with QuickBooks. This is our top recommendation as the product is very feature rich yet simple to use and very well supported. The only knock on Method is that they are practically non-existent outside the QuickBooks world so you may consider another product if you plan to move to another accounting application in the future.
A few other notable CRM options include third party adapters or integrations between QuickBooks and leading CRM products such as Salesforce.com, SugarCRM, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, and Zoho CRM (to name just a few).
There are many other niche options available including Legrand CRM and Simple CRM which both have longstanding relationships with QuickBooks and industry-specific CRM options like Repsly, ServiceTrade, and others that offer specific features for a smaller industry segment.
You can easily find these, and other, CRM options on the QuickBooks marketplace at www.apps.com. One last recommendation – if you’re in the market for CRM – regardless of ERP or accounting platform – make sure you talk to at least one CRM provider like Trellispoint who represents multiple products and specializes in CRM. They may not have exactly the right product for you but you will be much more likely to get an unbiased opinion on what product to consider given your specific needs.
