Managing membership in your association, club, non-profit, or other organization can be difficult without the right software and most membership organizations are too small to spend a lot of money on a membership management system.
Good news is that there are several affordable options available for Intuit QuickBooks and many membership organizations can get by just fine with one of the many CRM applications on the market.
A few apps to try from the QuickBooks marketplace include Findjoo, novi AMS, Rerun, NeonCRM, and Legrand CRM. Other options to consider are Sumac (non-profits), MemberClicks, WildApricot, MemberCentral, ClubSentry, and a whole lot more. Your best bet is to find a product you like and then as the publisher if they integrate with QuickBooks. Chances are that they do (in some way or another) since QuickBooks dominates the low-end market.
You may also want to evaluate CRM products like SageCRM, Sugar CRM, Microsoft CRM, Salesforce.com, Zoho, and others. A CRM system can store your membership information with third party products to manage renewals, events, and other types of transactions and data.
One other option is to look into some of the more popular plug-ins for website platforms like WordPress. We happen to use the Simple Membership plugin (that’s what manages our Instant and Premium membership on this site). Some others available include Ultimate Member, Paid Memberships Pro, Membership 2, WP-Members, a more (a whole lot more). Try searching for membership plugins for specific applications or industries to narrow your search. For example, club memberships vs. association memberships.
