A national health benefits provider, UNITE HERE HEALTH’s (UHH) mission is to ensure high quality, affordable healthcare for union workers in the hospitality, food service, and gaming industries. The Fund needs to report individually on each of its independent plan units in Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Illinois, and other regions, and the complexity of this structure has increased as UHH expands and merges with other Taft-Hartley Funds.

When the company’s 17-year old on-premises accounting system was discontinued, the UHH finance team went in search of an ERP solution that could meet its long-term, mission-critical needs. Over the years, they had developed so many Excel workarounds and customizations to the previous system that they could no longer efficiently run the business on the software even if they wanted to.
